Laser Defender Game In Unity3D
Your post is probably too general for UnityAnswers. The UnityAnswers philosophy is: '[Unity Answers] is a place to ask specific questions that have specific answers. The forum is a better place to post discussions and non-technical questions.'

Game development & design made fun. Learn C# using Unity 4.6 & Unity 5 to create 2D & 3D games for web & mobile in this online unity training course. Ista P Bmw V55 on this page. Lifetime access and no subscription on Udemy. Come try my first Unity 2D game: Laser Defender! Here's my take on Laser Defender. The next game I've finished is Laser Defender, which is a Space Invaders type of game where enemies fly in and you shoot them down. Post navigation. Lecture Slides for the Complete Unity Developer Course. Laser Defender.
As a general rule, posts should probably have the following: • A clear question (what, specifically, are you trying to do?) • Relevant background information (what have you already tried? What other things might be important for us to know?) • Context information (what do you expect to happen? What is happening instead?) If your post is one of the following, you should consider changing it or asking on the forums instead: • A one- or couple-sentence post, especially with a broad question ('how do I make a game like Halo?' ) or no discernible question ('WebPlayer doesn't allow me to save to disk'). We'll need more specific information to help you. • Asking the opinion of the community ('Best method to store files?' Much better to discuss these on the forums.
• A question that focuses on the end result, rather than anything technical ('how do I make a laser beam?' These mean that you probably haven't done enough research. If you're just starting out and don't even know where to look, try searching here, the forums, and Google first and then posting your question to the forums. The Unity resources are a great place to start ( When you get to a more technical point ('how do I adjust the color of a line renderer for a laser beam?' ) we can probably help you.
• A disjointed or incomplete question ('How do I make a jumping enemy? Physics doesn't look right.' It will help us if you take a moment to add some context information, background, and general explanation. Of course, the members here are awesome folks and will probably try to help you anyway - hopefully you'll get an answer or some helpful comments. If not, now you know why.
Just giving you some hints (regarding the scripting part): • In a tower defense game, you need one or more towers and a horde of ennemis. • Therefore a minimalist game requires at least two different type of object (and script): Tower and Foe.
• You need to spawn ennemies at a regular rate. So you probably need a FoeManager (another script) to do it. • Last but not least, your game should have some goal (either to win or to lose).
So a GameManager (again a script) should check for victory conditions. The first thing you need to do is think. Think while you sleep, eat, drive (be careful). Then: • Write everything on paper. • Draw some diagrams, graphics, pictures.
• Ask your friends, relatives, classmates, colleagues. This way you will get a clear idea of your game. I would Google that type of questions as its not a 'single answer question' which is what Unity answers is for. Follow all the links, check for tutorials, samples etc.
Basically you need some 'objects' with 'variables' suchs as 'shield/energy' to follow a 'path/list of waypoints' On this 'map' you will have options to place 'towers' (bullet sources) and each of these should have some targeting script that will pick a target (object) once it gets within range. Once you have all this, you can start looking at 'upgrading options' for the 'towers'. But, hey - get the primary stuff done first.
Make an enemy object. Make it move on a defined waypoint list. Then place some static towers and make them auto target the incomming objects.
When done - you can start to worry about next step.
