I got all the guides and Esys etc from Since I wanted to take it easy I tried the EBT coding on FA. I will generate the code when you bring in your car - no issues. Make sure you have downloaded the maps on a USB/ external hard drive/ etc. And then you should be able to use the code to activate the maps. Apologies for the late response.

(Answer Courtesy of Shawn) The I-Level (aka I-Step) is the Integration Level of your car, which represents a package of firmwares for all your modules, and it corresponds to the version of ISTA/P last used to program your vehicle. To determine your I-Level, go to VCM Module =>VCM Master Tab =>click Read under I-Steps Thanks gspannu.

I checked the I-Step data and it showed the following: F010-15-03-502 and I have been using the v.54.1 PSdZData files. Are these files too old to be using with my car? My build date was 6th of March 15. Could you kindly point me in the direction of where I could get hold of 55.x files?

Use the same link/ contact you got the previous 54.x files from. Just be aware that 55.x files are PSD files without comments and unless you have the proper Launcher program, the E-Sys program will load these files without any description. The launcher program is not public domain (as of now) and will probably never be as BMW is now keeping tabs on such activities. You may still be able to FA code with existing E-Sys and v55, but will definitely not be able to do FDL coding. They only have access to the latest version. You just need to inform the dealer to update the car; and it will get updated to the latest version anyway.

I think the latest ISTA/P version (for the whole car and not just NBT) is likely to be 15-03-xxx. Just ask them to update the car's software to the latest version. They are probably going to ask you 'Why' and you need to have a plausible reason as to why you would like the update or they might ask you to pay for the update? Depends on your relationship with the dealer. Ok cool - Ive got it booked in and mentioned that the spotify artwork is stuck when I change tracks via bluetooth audio.

There is a fix in 'UPD05062' from BMW update site but I can't apply it because I'm running older software (NBT_B). So this update is a prerequisite to applying the fix. They mentioned that it will cost £99! Even though I only need it updated because of a known bug What can I verify to see if they've updated it? Am I looking at NBT_I or NBT_G or similar in the NAV version? I'm just worried that they will try the USB update (like I did) and come back that they weren't able to apply 5062!
